Luxury Vacation Rental in Galway, Ireland

A place to make memories.

Come and discover Beside The Tide and its incredible scenery along the Wild Atlantic Way.

The main house and granny flat sit on 7 acres of land surrounded on two sides by the sea. In the backdrop are the rocky Clare mountains and Galway City, with its twinkling lights that compete with an evening of star-filled skies.

Beside The Tide is situated 2 miles from Ballinderreen Village, less than 10 minutes from Kinvara and 40 minutes from Galway City. Jordan’s, our local Pub, and a few shops are located in Balinderreen.

Our luxury holiday home sleeps 8 guests with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

The land we sit on is called Knocknashee, which means Hill of the Fairies.

Just below our property sits the ruins of a small one-window cottage. This cottage was used as a lookout for a caretaker to watch the valuable oysters gathered on the shoreline. To this day oysters and winkles are growing and being collected by locals. Looking out from the conservatory you will see Island Eddie, which you can walk to several times a year during very low tides.

The hill of the fairies awaits you.

Ask any of our wonderful guests and they will tell you a different story of our ever-changing landscape. The colors of the sky, mountains and water change hourly. No two days are the same. Sitting inside looking out at the shower threatening in the skies. Watching a local man spending hours picking winkles while the tide is out. Several ladies taking their daily swim in the cold waters of the Bay. See a boat set out for the horizon. Watch cows, birds, flowers, and bees buzz around the fields. Pictures don’t tell it all, you must see it with your own eyes.
